Dolphin Archery are pleased to welcome local archers for evening shoots over the winter at a 20 yard covered and floodlit range at Windmill Leisure Golf & Activity Centre.

Sessions run from 5pm – 8pm on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday and cost just £3. Please make sure that you pack away and leave promptly at the end of the session so that the centre staff can lock up.

There will be 4 available spaces per target (targets are both layered foam and straw), shooting will be in 2 details.

Please bring your own target faces.

Location

We are please to offer a winter shooting venue at the covered and floodlit archery range at Windmill Leisure Golf & Activity Centre, Henfield Road, BS36 2FE.

Terms & Conditions

Health

Participants MUST NOT come to the Archery Range if they show symptoms of any illness but in particular of Covid-19. These are highlighted on NHS Direct and include:

  • A high temperature – this means you feel hot to touch on your chest or back (you do not need to measure your temperature)
  • A new, continuous cough – this means coughing a lot for more than an hour, or 3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hours (if you usually have a cough, it may be worse than usual)
  • A loss or change to your sense of smell or taste – this means you’ve noticed you cannot smell or taste anything, or things smell or taste different to normal

If you are symptomatic, living in a household with a possible COVID-19 the guidance is that you should remain at home.

Archers must notify the club should they develop symptoms after attending the archery range.

Cancellation Policy
Unfortunately due to the demand on slots it will not be possible to issue a refund if you are not able to attend.

Fitness and Risks
All participants must declare their fitness, existing injuries and/or any medical or other conditions. If you do not inform us in advance we may not have the staffing levels or facilities ready for you – so you may not be able to take part / shoot even if you have booked and paid.
All participants must confirm that: a) they have completed an introductory course with an Archery GB club and are aware of the safety rules used in archery. b) That they accept that these activities are dangerous and can result in death and/or injury and c) That they accept the risks involved and are responsible for their own actions and involvement.

Photography
We reserve the right to use photographs or video taken at this event in publicity and promotional materials – printed and online. A person who does not wish to have their image recorded for distribution should make their wishes known to the instructor in writing at the start of the course.

Juniors

We are happy to welcome junior members of Archery GB, however juniors must be accompanied at all times by an adult.

Coaching

We are pleased to introduce Personal Coaching for archers who are looking for some help to develop. Coaching is available for archers at all levels shooting recurve, barebow or longbow, whether you are just starting out with archery and want to avoid bad habits, have hit a slump and need help getting out of it or are looking to push your archery to the next level.

Coaching Sessions last for 1-hour but you are welcome to shoot for the entire session.

We want you to get the most out of your coaching session, if you have something specific that you want to work on please get in touch first so that we ensure you get the most out of your coaching session.
